Account deletion

Delete your Lett account

Lett is operated by Lett Inc. You can delete your Lett account and the personal data we are not legally required to retain. This page explains how to make the request and exactly what happens to your data.

How to request deletion

In the app

  1. Open the Lett app and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Tap “Delete account”.
  3. Confirm your identity — enter your password, or re-authenticate with Apple or Google if you signed up that way.
  4. Type DELETE to confirm.

By email — if you no longer have the app installed

Email support@lettnet.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We confirm by email once the deletion is complete.

Sessions you have already booked are honored or refunded before the account is closed.

What is deleted

  • Your name, profile photo, home location, and phone fields — set to null.
  • Your email address — replaced with an internal tombstone, so the address is free for a new signup.
  • Your sign-in identities and password credential.
  • Images you shared in chat; your identity as the sender is anonymized on messages you sent.
  • Your public tutor slug, if you had a tutor profile.
  • Calendar-sync data: the upcoming events Lett created in your connected calendar, the stored access tokens, and the mirroring records.

What is retained, and why

These records are kept as part of the financial and audit record, because accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution rules require it. They are not removed by an account deletion.

  • Payments, refunds, transfers, disputes, and ledger entries.
  • Bookings — who participated, when, where, for how much, and the outcome. Other participants see “Deleted account” instead of your name.
  • Consent history: which Terms and Privacy Policy versions you accepted, and when.
  • Audit logs.

Retention period: we keep these records for as long as the applicable accounting, tax, and record-keeping law requires, and dispose of them afterwards. Diagnostic and crash data is retained by our diagnostics provider for that provider's own retention period and is never used to recover a deleted account.
